Day 1 — Arrival in Kandy
Kandy is where your journey begins. On arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to rest or explore at your own pace. Sri Lanka's last royal capital, Kandy is built around a lake and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most important shrines, with tea country rising into the hills beyond it. Day 3 — Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, drive on to Nuwara Eliya. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. Nicknamed 'Little England' for its colonial-era bungalows and cool climate, Nuwara Eliya sits at the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, high in the central hills. Day 5 — Nuwara Eliya to Kandy
This morning you'll transfer on to Kandy. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace.
