Detailed Itinerary

1. Day 1 — Arrival in Delhi

   Delhi greets you on landing. After a smooth transfer to your hotel and check-in, take the rest of the day easy before sightseeing begins tomorrow. India's capital layers Mughal-era monuments, colonial-era boulevards and a fast-moving modern city into one sprawling metropolis. A day here moves between the walled lanes of Old Delhi and the wide avenues of New Delhi. Don't miss India Gate and the President's House.

2. Day 2 — Delhi

   There's more of Delhi to see today: a cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk.

3. Day 3 — Delhi to Bikaner

   After breakfast, drive on to Bikaner. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. A quieter desert city than its Rajasthani neighbours, Bikaner centres on Junagarh Fort -- notable for surviving intact without ever being conquered -- and its camel-breeding traditions. Don't miss old-city havelis and bazaars.

4. Day 4 — Bikaner

5. Day 5 — Bikaner to Jaisalmer

   After breakfast, drive on to Jaisalmer. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. Rising out of the Thar Desert in honey-coloured sandstone, Jaisalmer is built around a living fort -- homes, shops and temples still occupy Jaisalmer Fort today, alongside the carved havelis of its merchant families. Don't miss Patwon Ki Haveli's stone lattice-work.

6. Day 6 — Jaisalmer

   Today brings more time in Jaisalmer -- folk music around a desert camp.

7. Day 7 — Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

   After breakfast, you'll be driven to Jodhpur, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. Jodhpur's old town spreads out in a wash of indigo-blue houses below Mehrangarh Fort, one of India's largest and best-preserved forts, still ruling the skyline from its sandstone cliff. Don't miss Mehrangarh Fort's ramparts and museum.

8. Day 8 — Jodhpur

   Another day around Jodhpur, with time for Sardar Market and the clock tower.

9. Day 9 — Jodhpur to Pushkar

   After breakfast, drive on to Pushkar. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. A small, holy town built around Pushkar Lake, said to have one of the few Brahma temples in the world, with ghats, temples and a lively bazaar wrapped around its water. Don't miss the camel and cattle fair grounds.

10. Day 10 — Pushkar to Jaipur

    This morning you'll transfer on to Jaipur. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. Rajasthan's capital is known for its rose-pink old city walls, its hilltop forts and a royal history that's still visible in its palaces and bazaars. Don't miss City Palace and Jantar Mantar observatory.

11. Day 11 — Jaipur to Agra

    After breakfast, you'll be driven to Agra, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. Agra's skyline is built around the Taj Mahal, the white-marble mausoleum Shah Jahan built for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, but the city's Mughal history runs deeper across its fort and tomb complexes. Don't miss Agra Fort's palaces and courtyards.

12. Day 12 — Agra to Jhansi

    After breakfast, you'll be driven to Jhansi, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. Spend the day taking in Jhansi at an easy, unhurried pace.

13. Day 13 — Jhansi to Khajuraho

    After breakfast, you'll be driven to Khajuraho, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khajuraho's temple complex is renowned worldwide for the extraordinarily detailed stone carving covering its sandstone temples, built by the Chandela dynasty over a thousand years ago. 14. Day 14 — Khajuraho to Varanasi

    This morning you'll transfer on to Varanasi. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. One of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, Varanasi's ghats line the Ganga for kilometres, and the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is one of India's most photographed rituals. Don't miss a sunrise boat ride along the ghats.

15. Day 15 — Delhi · Departure

    Your tour comes to an end today. After breakfast, you'll be driven to Delhi, with a stop or two along the way as the route allows, in time for your onward flight or journey home.
