Day 3 — Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) to Kovalam
After breakfast, you'll be driven to Kovalam, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. Kovalam's string of crescent beaches, anchored by the Lighthouse Beach, has been drawing travellers for decades for its calm coves, seafood shacks and Ayurvedic spas overlooking the Arabian Sea. Day 4 — Kovalam to Varkala
This morning you'll transfer on to Varkala. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. Varkala's dramatic red laterite cliffs run straight along the beach, lined with cafés and yoga studios, with the Janardhana Swamy Temple and natural mineral springs nearby. Don't miss sunset from a cliff-edge café.

Day 5 — Varkala to a Kettuvallam houseboat
This morning you'll transfer on to a Kettuvallam houseboat. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. A Kettuvallam -- a traditional rice barge converted into a houseboat -- is the classic way to spend a night on Kerala's backwaters, complete with an onboard cook and a slow-moving view of canal-side village life. Don't miss a freshly cooked Kerala meal on board.

Day 6 — Kochi (Cochin) · Departure
This is the final day of your trip. After breakfast, transfer on to Kochi (Cochin) for your onward departure.
