Day 1 — Arrival in Delhi
Delhi greets you on landing. After a smooth transfer to your hotel and check-in, take the rest of the day easy before sightseeing begins tomorrow. India's capital layers Mughal-era monuments, colonial-era boulevards and a fast-moving modern city into one sprawling metropolis. A day here moves between the walled lanes of Old Delhi and the wide avenues of New Delhi. Don't miss India Gate and the President's House.

Day 2 — Delhi

Day 3 — Delhi to Amritsar
This morning you'll transfer on to Amritsar. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. Amritsar's Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib), its dome plated in gold and set within a sacred pool, is one of the most moving sights in India -- and the langar hall beside it feeds tens of thousands of visitors a day for free. Don't miss the community langar (free communal kitchen).

Day 5 — Amritsar to Vaishno Devi
After breakfast, you'll be driven to Vaishno Devi, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. One of India's most-visited pilgrimage sites, the Vaishno Devi shrine sits in a cave high in the Trikuta hills, reached by a trek (or pony/palanquin) from the base town of Katra. Day 6 — Delhi · Departure
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye — you'll be driven to Delhi and transferred onward for your flight or journey home.
