Detailed Itinerary
-
Day 1 — Arrival in Bhopal
Bhopal is where your journey begins. On arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to rest or explore at your own pace. Madhya Pradesh's capital is built around two lakes, with a mix of Mughal and Nawabi-era mosques and palaces, and serves as a convenient base for visiting the nearby Sanchi Stupa. Don't miss Taj-ul-Masajid.
-
Day 2 — Bhopal
There's more of Bhopal to see today: Sanchi Stupa, nearby.
-
Day 3 — Bhopal
Another day around Bhopal, with time for Upper and Lower Lake boating.
-
Day 4 — Bhopal to Bandhavgarh National Park
This morning you'll transfer on to Bandhavgarh National Park. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. Bandhavgarh has one of the highest tiger densities of any reserve in India, its forest scattered with ancient caves and a hilltop fort overlooking the core zone. Don't miss ancient rock-cut caves within the reserve.
-
Day 5 — Bandhavgarh National Park
Another day around Bandhavgarh National Park, with time for jeep safaris across the park's zones.
-
Day 6 — Bandhavgarh National Park to Kanha National Park
This morning you'll transfer on to Kanha National Park. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. Kanha's sal and bamboo forests are widely believed to have inspired Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, and the park today protects tigers alongside the barasingha, a swamp deer found almost nowhere else. Don't miss jeep safaris across Kanha's meadows and forest.
-
Day 7 — Kanha National Park
There's more of Kanha National Park to see today: the barasingha (swamp deer) conservation success. Your tour comes to an end today. After breakfast, you'll be transferred out in time for your onward flight or journey home.
