Day 1 — Arrival in Delhi
Delhi greets you on landing. After a smooth transfer to your hotel and check-in, take the rest of the day easy before sightseeing begins tomorrow. India's capital layers Mughal-era monuments, colonial-era boulevards and a fast-moving modern city into one sprawling metropolis. A day here moves between the walled lanes of Old Delhi and the wide avenues of New Delhi. Don't miss India Gate and the President's House.

Day 2 — Delhi
There's more of Delhi to see today: a cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk.

Day 3 — Delhi to Jaipur
After breakfast, drive on to Jaipur. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. Rajasthan's capital is known for its rose-pink old city walls, its hilltop forts and a royal history that's still visible in its palaces and bazaars. Don't miss an elephant or jeep ride up to Amber Fort.

Another day around Jaipur, with time for City Palace and Jantar Mantar observatory.

Day 5 — Jaipur to Agra
This morning you'll transfer on to Agra. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. Agra's skyline is built around the Taj Mahal, the white-marble mausoleum Shah Jahan built for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, but the city's Mughal history runs deeper across its fort and tomb complexes. Don't miss sunrise or sunset at the Taj Mahal.

Today brings more time in Agra -- Agra Fort's palaces and courtyards.

Day 7 — Agra to Orchha
After breakfast, drive on to Orchha. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. A former Bundela capital on the Betwa River, Orchha's sandstone palaces and chhatris (cenotaphs) survive in remarkably original condition, with far fewer crowds than nearby Khajuraho. Don't miss Jahangir Mahal's courtyards.

Day 9 — Orchha to Khajuraho
This morning you'll transfer on to Khajuraho. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khajuraho's temple complex is renowned worldwide for the extraordinarily detailed stone carving covering its sandstone temples, built by the Chandela dynasty over a thousand years ago. Don't miss the Western Group of Temples.

Day 11 — Khajuraho to Varanasi
This morning you'll transfer on to Varanasi. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. One of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, Varanasi's ghats line the Ganga for kilometres, and the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is one of India's most photographed rituals. Don't miss Kashi Vishwanath Temple's surrounding lanes.

Day 12 — Varanasi to Delhi
This morning you'll transfer on to Delhi. Once you've checked in, the afternoon is yours to explore the town at an easy pace. India's capital layers Mughal-era monuments, colonial-era boulevards and a fast-moving modern city into one sprawling metropolis. A day here moves between the walled lanes of Old Delhi and the wide avenues of New Delhi. Don't miss Red Fort and Jama Masjid in Old Delhi.

Day 13 — Delhi to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll be driven to Kathmandu, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. Nepal's capital packs UNESCO World Heritage temple squares, stupas and a living medieval old town into one valley, ringed by the Himalaya on clear days. Don't miss Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple).

Day 14 — Kathmandu to Pokhara
After breakfast, you'll be driven to Pokhara, with stops along the way as the route allows. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring nearby. Set beside Phewa Lake with the Annapurna range reflected in the water on clear mornings, Pokhara is Nepal's adventure-travel base and a far more laid-back stop than Kathmandu. Don't miss boating on Phewa Lake.

Day 16 — Pokhara to Chitwan National Park
After breakfast, drive on to Chitwan National Park. On arrival, check in and take some time to settle in before the day's sightseeing. A UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nepal's lowland Terai belt, Chitwan protects one-horned rhinos, tigers and gharial crocodiles across its grasslands and riverine forest. Don't miss a Tharu cultural performance.

After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye — you'll be driven to Kathmandu and transferred onward for your flight or journey home.
