Palace on Wheels is Rajasthan's best-known heritage train, in service since the 1980s and styled after the saloons once used by the region's Maharajas. The classic circuit runs roughly 7 nights / 8 days out of Delhi, typically covering Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Ranthambore, Bharatpur and Agra, with a day at each stop for guided sightseeing before the train moves on overnight.
